Robbe Industries NV is permanent partner for ATEX filling installation for drums
Robbe Industries NV is an established and reliable partner of Umicore Specialty Materials NV from Bruges. They are counting on us to manage the replacement of the barrel filling machine.
The new filling machine comes in an ATEX zoning and will automatically fill the drums with different types of resin and hydrocarbon.
The actual machine consists of a filling column with automatic dosing lance. Below the filling station, a section of the non-powered roller conveyor is weighted. Accurate filling by weight begins when the lance is in the barrel. An operator closes the vessel afterwards.
The filling machine is metrological calibrated and the filled drums can be taken directly into economic use (legal-for-trade). A Siemens PLC with a SIWAREX weighing module is responsible for control.
The whole thing – given the explosive atmosphere – is constructed in accordance with the ATEX directive.
