Renewal of existing tipping weighers in existing environment
After several years of service, the existing chicken weighers were in need of replacement. The foundations of the building were custom made for these weighers, so not just any standard device could be placed.
Our study team worked with the customer to see what solutions were possible to provide new weighers and feed screws at the existing site.
Robbe Industries was responsible for both the design and complete production of the Atex-approved weighing bunkers, quick release slides, junction boxes and dosing screws.
Doubling of flow rate
This also took into account the customer’s request to double the flow rate compared to the old weighers. This without exceeding the size of the existing weighers
In addition, the new Atex standards were also taken into account, making both the weighers and screws Atex certified.
Filler screws and bunkers for salts
Since certain supply lines are used almost exclusively for adding salts, the bunkers and screws also had to be fitted with them.
For this purpose, some bunkers and screws were made entirely of stainless steel, so that they will be able to provide years of service without problems.
In consultation with the customer, the weighers were then replaced in several stages so that no continuity problems arose.
The result is impressive: 112 weighers and 80 screws were replaced and ready for the future!
