We have many years of experience in filling of liquids in an ATEX environment. Therefore, we fill automatically by weight. Moreover, the supply and removal of empty and filled packages can be done manually as well as automatically.
Filling barrels and IBCs in a potentially explosive environment involves certain risks. During the filling, some explosive mixtures of gas and air can occur. Therefore, all equipment in the dangerous environment has to be in line with the ATEX requirements. In other words, there are special requirements regarding these electrical and mechanical components. Hence, the ignition risk is minimized.
However, this is not all. Because, as soon as you combine these components to create a filling machine, the whole machine has to meet the ATEX requirements too. Our company has many years of experience in filling packages in potentially explosive environments.
We do not only support our customers with designing and producing new filling machines, but also with retrofits and the rebuilding of exisiting filling lines. Often it happens that a machine is mechanically still working, but the electrical controller is not up-to-date anymore.
